Get your Google review link

Paste your Google Place ID and get a direct link to your review form, plus a simple card you can print for the counter. Free, and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Short answer: A Google review link opens the review form for your business in one tap. Paste your Place ID below and this free tool builds the link and a printable text card. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Ask every customer the same way, and never offer a reward for a review.

How to find your Place ID

  • Open Google’s Place ID page and scroll to the Place ID finder map.
  • Type your business name and town in the search box, and pick your business from the list.
  • Copy the Place ID shown on the map. It’s a long string of letters and numbers.
  • Paste it into the box above.

No JavaScript? Build it by hand

Copy this address and paste your Place ID straight after the equals sign, with no spaces:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=

For example, a Place ID of ChIJgUbEo8cfqokR5lP9_Wh_DaM (one of Google’s own examples) becomes https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJgUbEo8cfqokR5lP9_Wh_DaM.

Prefer Google’s own link?

If you own or manage your Business Profile, Google gives you a review link and a QR code directly. On a computer, open your Business Profile, select Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and select Copy. Google suggests putting it on receipts, in thank-you emails, at the end of a chat, or as a printed QR code in your store.

Asking for reviews the honest way

Google’s rules are simple, and breaking them can get reviews removed:

  • No rewards. Don’t offer payment, discounts, free goods or services for posting, changing or removing a review.
  • Ask everyone, not just happy customers. Google doesn’t allow selectively asking for positive reviews or discouraging negative ones.
  • No pressure. Don’t require reviews on the spot, tell people what to write, or set staff quotas.
  • No reviews from staff or family. Google removes reviews based on a conflict of interest.

Then reply to the reviews you get, good and bad. Our notes on getting more Google reviews and replying to bad reviews cover how.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Place ID, and where do I find mine?

It’s the code Google uses for one place on Google Maps, a string of letters and numbers. Open Google’s Place ID finder, type your business name, pick it from the list, and copy the ID it shows. Google says Place IDs can change over time, so check yours about once a year.

Is there an official way to get my review link from Google?

Yes. If you own or manage the profile, open your Business Profile on a computer, select Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and select Copy. That link works just as well. This tool is for when you can’t get into the profile or want a printable card.

Can I offer a discount or freebie for a review?

No. Google’s Maps content policy doesn’t allow incentives such as payment, discounts or free goods for posting, changing or removing a review. It also doesn’t allow asking only happy customers, discouraging negative reviews, or pressuring people to review while they’re in your shop.

Can I get a QR code too?

Yes, from Google. In the same Get more reviews window, right-click the QR code and save it. Google says review QR codes can only be made in a computer browser, not on a phone. This page gives you a text card without a QR code.

Does this tool save my Place ID or business name?

No. Everything happens in your browser. The page makes no network requests with what you type and doesn’t store it. Close the tab and it’s gone.
