Do I need to be on Apple Maps and Bing too, or just Google?

Apple Maps and Bing listings are free to claim. How Apple Business and Bing Places for Business work, the Google import, and the one rule for all three.

Short answer: Start with Google, then claim both. They're free: Apple Business manages your Apple Maps place card at no cost, and Bing Places for Business can import your Google profile. People using Apple Maps, Siri or Bing see those listings, so keep the name, phone and hours identical everywhere.

Apple Maps: Apple Business

Apple launched Business Connect in January 2023 as a free tool for claiming your place card, the box that shows your business in Apple Maps, Siri, Wallet and Messages. Today it's part of Apple Business, which Apple says is free to get started and includes place card customization on Apple Maps. You don't need Apple devices to use it.

To start, sign up at business.apple.com with your business email. Apple verifies the business before you can claim your location. Your place card can show your logo, photos, hours and actions like ordering or booking. Apple's guidelines say the display name needs to match the name on your storefront or website, with no extra descriptions.

Bing: Bing Places for Business

Microsoft calls Bing Places for Business a free platform for listings in Bing search results and Bing Maps. In October 2025 it moved from bingplaces.com to bing.com/forbusiness. If you already have a Google profile, you can import it. Microsoft says the import keeps details like your business name, hours and contact information. Check every field after importing anyway.

One rule for all three

Use the same business name, phone number, website and hours on Google, Apple Maps and Bing, and on your own website. When you set holiday hours on one, set them on all of them. The printable listing checklist has a line for each.
